Wheeeee
People, people everywhere.
The woman holding hands with the hunky army medic (take my word for it) is my current roommate.
tee hee hee
I just love the old guy with a fishing rod. There just wasn't enough wind for him to get it up.
There were a few times during the day when there was enough wind to get hundreds of kites up in the air. Quite a site.
See?
This guy on the right wasflying an unbelievably light 4-line kite (one line tied to each end of those sticks he has in his hands). I've never seen anything like it.
This was WAY overdone. There is far too much bridle, perhaps he was planning to fly in a LOT more wind. It's pretty though
See how much too much line he has on that stained glass kite?
The l-o-n-g kite is a snoopy. You can't see it, but each blue pannel has a snoopy picture on it.
I don't know what this was made out of, but it was huge.
See?
This kite was one from a member of the family who all had amazing homemade kites.
This was another kite from Super-Kite-Family. It's about 5' tall.
I couldn't decide which of these pictures sucked less. The kite was great, though.
These were two small little kites flown by a couple of little kids. There were lots of those. The kite festival really is a spectator event.
Once again, huge...
They were giving away these little white kites at the festival. If I had known they did that I would have gone the last six years.
